Hydrogen Peroxide finds its most common use as bleaching agent in pulp & paper industry. It has chemical formula H2O2 with molar mass of 34.0147 g/mol and density of 1.11 g/cm3. This compound has slightly sharp odor with colorless to light blue appearance. It shows solubility in water, ether, & alcohol with insolubility in petroleum ether. This compound is also required for production of sodium percarbonate & sodium perborate that are essential in detergent industry. Hydrogen Peroxide is used in polymerizations for treatment of acne and as bleaching flour.
