This chemical is slightly volatile in nature and assures low toxicity without pungent odor. It is most commonly utilized in formulation of wine and also as entomological killing agent for having asphyxiant property. Ethyl Acetate appears as colorless liquid with fruity odor and boiling point of 77.1 degrees Celsius. It is soluble in water and shows miscibility with ethanol & acetone.
